I want to extend my thanks to your organization for the support you

provide the Soldiers.  I recently received a care package from your

organization here in Iraq and am very grateful.  Had you not have put a

greeting letter, I probably wouldn't have been able to send my

appreciation.  It definitely made me smile.  There were a lot of goodies

in the box that I had to share with my fellow Soldiers, as it was too

much for just me.  I thank you again for supporting the troops.

I am active duty Navy stationed in  Iraq until the end of the

year.  I just received your wonderful packages.  All of my Sailors are

so grateful and their faces just light up when they see them.  We are

only allowed food and toiletries at this secure sight. It is 0900 in the morning and it is already 112 degrees.  The flavors you put in a bottle of water are a hot commodity over here. A large majority of us volunteered for this assignment and normally work on aircraft or a

naval vessel and have many challenges working out of their rate with

detainee operations.  We thank you for your support and help.

I am a helicopter mechanic and work for the NJ Army National Guard full time. 

The at home mission is in defense of the State.  Myself and some of the soldiers in the unit were part of the first military entity to respond to 911 we were on site within 90 minutes.  

For many of us this is the second time around to South West Asia.  If anyone would have told me before 911 we would be doing two combat tours in Iraq, I probably would have laughed at them. I want you to know the items shipped are very much appreciated and the items are

being disbursed.  All of the soldiers in my company are NJ residents.  I know it does not

matter so much what soldiers receive your kindness but I thought you might like to know

that bit of information.  Thanks again for the packages and please relay this email to the

rest of your volunteers.
