2008 Fundraising Campaign

Last updated April 24, 2008

From the Field

Please pass along to all persons involved that I received 5 boxes today.  My Marines and I are grateful for the love and support that you all have shown in making this program a success.  One of the packages contained birthday packages, and it arrived just in time because two of the Marines in the office across from me actually celebrated their birthday today.  I can’t thank you enough for all that you do to make us fell so special.  I am forever grateful to you and your staff.  Thanks   a million!                                                             SgtMaj R. and the Marines of CLB-5

I am currently deployed in Baghdad, Iraq as a PFC in the Army. Recently my company received care packages from your organization and I just wanted to send my thanks to you and all the families that gave their time to send us these packages. I myself am from the Bronx and many of the yellow ribbon cards that were in the box were from families in Staten Island so its nice to get something from people close to home. Once again I would like to send my thanks and appreciation. Hope you are all safe and happy.

 PFC J.F, Baghdad

I am in the United States Marine Corps and my unit is stationed in Baghdad, Iraq right now.  I wanted to thank you and your organization for the care packages you sent us.  It means so much to all of us here, and it really keeps up going.  Your organization sounds amazing.  Thank you for everything you are doing and tell everyone to keep up the good work.  We are all very grateful for selfless people such as yourself.  It gives me even more pride in what I do to know that there are a lot of people that are behind us.  Sometimes I lose sight of that.  Thanks for reminding me!  And THANK YOU for everything.

SGT J.H., Baghdad

A warm hello form Afghanistan, I am a CW2  from the NJ National Guard I live and work as a police officer in Newark, NJ and want to thank you and your group of volunteers for the work you do in supporting us overseas and our families at home. You and those like your group are the real patriots of our nation. We enjoy every letter and care package we receive and best of all the encouragement from the children. After all we fight now so that their future can be secured with the hopes of them never having to engage in war. The children of our nation are our inspiration and it is thru their letters of support that we draw additional strength to perform our job away from home. May God continue to bless you, your group of volunteers and family members, and may God continue to bless America.

CW2 J.M.Jr., Herat, Afghanistan

I'm writing to say thank you very much for all the packages my soldiers received which is about 30 personnel they loved everything that they got in the packages and what we couldn't use we found another soldier that could use it.  We appreciate all of the work that your organization has done for all branches of the military and our families as well.  I think they should give every person involved some sort of medal or award to show how much hard work you put in on a daily basis to make sure that the soldiers are doing okay.  Once again from the Punisher Platoon we thank you for everything that you have sent to us and all the countless hours of hard work and sweat that went into these care packages.

                        Sgt A.G., Iraq
